We’re a family-owned and operated business, and we’ve been clearing snow here for a long time. Over the years, we’ve learned a thing or two about Ottawa winters — including how quickly things can go sideways when a big storm hits!
That’s why we put a lot of thought into our routes, equipment and people. We have multiple sizes of well-maintained tractors and commercial snow blowers, so we can use the right equipment for the job. Our equipment is operated by trained, experienced staff who know our routes and know what they're doing.
We also keep our service area focused and our routes manageable. We’re not interested in being the biggest snow clearing company in Ottawa. We’d rather be the company our customers can count on when the snow starts falling.

We intentionally maintain a compact service area rather than trying to cover all of Ottawa. Keeping our routes close together allows us to spend less time driving between properties and more time clearing driveways. It also helps us provide more consistent and reliable service during major snowstorms.
Yes, and there’s a good reason for it!
We don’t try to clear every driveway in Ottawa. We keep our service area small and our routes manageable so our drivers aren’t spending half the storm driving from one end of the city to the other.
A well-planned route means less time on the road and more time actually clearing driveways. It also helps us keep our service reliable when the snow really starts coming down.
We don’t have a set number of driveways that we accept each season. It depends on the routes and areas we’re able to take on. Once an area or route is full, we may stop accepting new customers there.
We'd rather have a manageable number of customers we can take good care of than grow too big and compromise the service our customers expect.
Yes to both. We carry insurance for our employees and for the work we do.

Our job is pretty simple: we clear your laneway so you don't have to.
Our snow clearing season runs from November 1 to March 31, and we service every snowfall of 5 cm or more.
Our Limited Service Plan includes up to 250 cm of total snowfall or 40 visits, whichever comes first. If you choose our Unlimited Service Plan, there are no seasonal snowfall or visit limits — we’ll keep clearing your laneway throughout the entire season.
And we know what happens when the city plows come through — that lovely pile of snow they leave at the end of your driveway doesn't magically disappear! We return to clear it as part of your service.
You get to leave the snow clearing to us.
The biggest difference is pretty simple: how much snow we're committed to clearing for you.
Our Limited Service Plan covers up to 250 cm of total snowfall or 40 visits, whichever comes first, during our November 1 to March 31 season.
Our Unlimited Service Plan covers every qualifying snowfall from November 1 to March 31, with no seasonal snowfall or visit limits. If we get 50 snowfalls, 60 snowfalls or just one really ridiculous Ottawa winter, we're there to keep clearing your laneway.
Basically, Limited has a limit. Unlimited... well, the name kind of gives it away!
If there's a qualifying snowfall, you're already on our list.
We generally dispatch once the snow system moves out of the area. This allows us to clear the full amount of snow rather than clearing halfway through a storm only to have to start all over again.
For larger storms, we will make multiple passes while the snow is still falling to help keep accumulation manageable.
Once we begin clearing, we strive to have our entire route completed within 6 hours or less. Of course, every storm is different, and unusually heavy or widespread snowfall can affect how quickly we can get through the route.
Mother Nature doesn't exactly follow a schedule, so our timing can vary from storm to storm. Our crews are on call 24/7 and may be working early in the morning, late at night, or whenever the conditions require it
Big storms are a little different.
When a major storm is expected to continue for an extended period, we may make multiple passes through our routes while the snow is still falling.
The goal is to keep accumulation manageable rather than waiting for the entire storm to finish and tackling everything at once.
Once the storm moves out of the area, we return to complete the final clearing.
We’ve seen our fair share of Ottawa snowstorms. When Mother Nature decides to make a mess, we adjust our game plan and keep moving.
Ah, the dreaded city plow pile!
City plow banks are part of our regular snow clearing service. When the road plows come through during a snow event we're servicing, we'll clear the pile they leave at the end of your laneway.
We also clear the snow left by the city's walkway plows when they come through while we're completing our snow clearing.
Every now and then, a walkway plow comes through long after we've finished the storm. In that case, we can't guarantee a return visit, but we'll always do our best to help when we can.
Because apparently, even the city plows have their own schedule!
Yes! We provide notifications when our drivers are on the way.
We need your driveway clear of vehicles when we arrive, and we know you can't always have your vehicle parked somewhere else all winter. That's why notifications are included with your contract — you'll know when we're heading your way and have time to move your vehicles.
Keep an eye on those notifications, move the vehicles, and let us do the rest!
Yes! Our early registration price is always the lowest price we offer for the season.
We know it’s a little odd to be thinking about snow in April, but there’s a good reason for it. Snow clearing takes a lot of planning before winter even starts. We need time to plan our routes, hire and train drivers, prepare our equipment and get our systems ready.
When you register early, you give us that time. In return, we offer you our lowest price of the season.

Not really, no. Seasonal service is actually the better value.
We typically plan for around 15 snow events each winter, and larger storms often mean we’re back more than once. If we average two visits per event, that can mean 30 clearings or more over the course of a season.
When you spread the cost of seasonal service over all those visits, it can work out to around $15–$17 per clearing for a single laneway.
And remember, these are Canadian winters. Some years are quiet, while others seem like the snow just doesn’t want to stop. The more it snows, the better the value of your seasonal service becomes.
With seasonal service, you know your price before winter starts, your property has a spot in our route, and you don't have to find someone to clear your driveway every time the forecast changes.

We value the service we provide, and our prices are carefully set based on our costs, current market conditions and fair competition.
We also encourage you to do your homework before registering with any snow clearing company. Check their reviews, look them up with the Better Business Bureau, and please, please make sure they are properly licensed and fully insured.
A great price doesn't mean much if the company isn't there when you need them.
Sometimes, yes! Registration stays open throughout the season.
As long as we have room in your area, we'll do our best to fit you into our route. We do limit the number of properties we service, so availability can become limited as the season progresses.
We'd much rather hear from you before the snow is in the forecast. Adding a new property to an established route takes some planning, and trying to squeeze a new driveway into the route the night before a storm can be really difficult.
And we get it — sometimes you make it through the first few snowfalls thinking, “I can handle this myself.” Then December rolls around, you've had enough, and suddenly you're ready to call us!
That's okay, but late-season registrations are charged at the current full seasonal rate.
So if you're thinking about signing up, don't wait for the first big storm to convince you!
Yes! We understand that paying for a full season of snow clearing all at once isn't always convenient.
We accept two post-dated cheques. Both cheques must be submitted with your registration — the first dated for the registration date and the second dated for January 15.
If you prefer to pay by e-transfer, the full balance is due when you register.
